Friday
Night - the weekend kicks off with the
traditional welcome to all first time Toastmasters
Convention
attendees. Following a light dinner is the evening's
main event - Beer and Skits. Gather a group of
your fellow Toastmasters and put together a 5-7
minute skit. Then be ready to laugh as our fellow
toastmasters show their stuff. Enter your group
with Michelle Moulson (moulson@canoemail.com),
Chair of the Friday night festivities.
Saturday
Morning - starts early with a Bathrobe
Breakfast open
to any Toastmaster who has completed a CTM, ATM,
DTM, CL or AL by April 15th.
The
District Council meeting follows at 8:00 AM where
we will elect a new set of officers to lead us
for
the 2006-2007 year. What follows, will be talked
about in the District for years to come. First,
Ed Tate,
the 2000 World Champion of Public Speaking, will
give an inspiring address. Then Toastmasters International
President, Dilip Abayasekara,
will follow with a motivating
educational called - “Leadership, Success
with People”. A presidential visit happens
only once every six years! Do you want to be the
only
one who
missed it?
Saturday
Afternoon - Attend the Communication & Leadership
Luncheon, where Judee Regan will be recognized for
her communication and leadership contributions. Judee
is an accomplished speaker, facilitator, gifted
Storyteller and author of the book 'Meaningful Work...the

a very thought provoking book geared towards the
Baby Boomers and those that are coming after. Check

The
afternoon educational specials will be delivered
by four of Manitoba’s top inspirational presenters
(Mona Cooley, Caroleigh Garner, Shelley Morris and
Brenda Oliver).

you pick the new District 64 Champion?

End
the evening by dancing until midnight and then make

Maybe you will
be named an honourary Young Professional!
